Health Education and Prevention
Health education and prevention programs are initiatives designed for the general public to improve, maintain, and safeguard the health of the community while preventing illness and decreasing future need for medical healthcare.
In an effort to prevent disease, promote healthy choices and protect our community, the Ashland-Boyd County Health Department offers a variety of education classes by request. These classes include but are not limited to:
Oral and dental health
Sexually Transmitted Disease
Hand washing techniques
Shaken Baby Syndrome
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
