Beginning April 5th, 2021 the Ashland Boyd Co. Health Dept. is offering  the Johnson & Johnson one dose COVID-19 vaccination to anyone 18 and older. Johson & Johnson is the only vaccine we are offering. More information is available here.

Other vaccine provider information - If you are interested in receiving a vaccine from another provider (Walgreens, Kroger, Wal-Mart, CVS) please visit the kycovid19 site by clicking here. You can also visit for information on obtaining a COVID vaccine.


Curbside COVID-19 testing is open to anyone and is free. We are strongly encouraging that everyone schedule an appointment to decrease wait time.

The environmental services staff conducts inspections/surveillance on various locally regulated establishments such as restaurants and schools to identify potential environmental risk factors associated with infectious disease and safety.
